Preparing Bird Nests

Serving Method & Simple Recipes
1. Soak dry pieces of Royal Bali bird nests in clean water (300ml of water for every 10g of bird nests).

​

2. Shred or tear up the soaked nests into long strands and immerse them in water for another 2 to 3 hours until they are all soft and tender.

​

3. Stew the bird nests using high temperature for 5-10 minutes.

Bird Nests with Pear
Add rock sugar into 1.5 cups of water.

​

Cook over low heat until the sugar has dissolved.

​

Pour this syrup mixture into a steaming pot.

​

Wash pear and slice it into small dices.

​

Put these pear dices into the steaming pot of dissolved sugar mixture and stew for 20 minutes.

​

Add bird nests from above steps 1-3  and stew over high temperature for 1-2 minutes. Serve.





Bird Nests with Red Dates and Lily Bulbs
Put red dates and lily bulbs into a steaming pot.

​

Add rock sugar, 2 cups of boiling water and stew for 1 hour.

​

Add bird nests from above steps 1-3 and stew over high temperature for 5 minutes. Serve.





Bird Nests with Ginseng
Wash ginseng (proportionate amount as that of bird nests) and put them into a steaming pot.

​

Add rock sugar, 2 cups of boiling water and stew for 20 minutes.

​

Add bird nests from above steps 1-3 and stew over high temperature for 5 minutes. Serve.

​Storage Method
Royal Bali Bird Nests takes pride in ensuring that all of our products are dry when we distribute them to our customers. As such, storage of our bird nest products will only involve keeping them in cool dry place and away from direct sunlight. DO NOT store the dry bird nests inside a refrigerator. Nevertheless, should the nests become moist or wet during storage, dry them using a fan or air condition for few hours before keeping them in cool and dry environment.
